NVIDIA CEO Huang Visits Seoul to Align AI Supply Chain

Nvidia has released Personal AI Router (PAIR), a free open-source software tool that networks idle home computers to perform local AI inference tasks. PAIR discovers compatible PCs on a network and coordinates them for processing agentic workflows using tools like Ollama and LM Studio. The software supports Nvidia GeForce RTX 20-series and newer GPUs, RTX Pro GPUs, DGX Spark systems, and Apple M4 chips or newer.

NVIDIA has agreed to acquire Hugging Face for $12.93 billion, the open-source AI model hub used by 18 million developers and 200,000 companies. NVIDIA says the platform will remain open and vendor-neutral, supporting multiple frameworks, clouds, and hardware providers. The deal aims to scale Hugging Face's infrastructure while preserving its role as a community-driven ecosystem.

Enterprise buyers are prioritizing non-Nvidia AI accelerators over Nvidia's next-generation GPUs in their evaluation plans, with 39.4% likely to evaluate alternatives like AWS Trainium, Google TPU, and AMD Instinct versus 25.3% for Nvidia Blackwell, according to VentureBeat's July survey of 170 AI infrastructure respondents. Despite this shift, Nvidia remains dominant in production environments. Enterprises are optimizing existing infrastructure and extending platform-change timelines rather than rushing to switch, with urgency declining across all near-term windows.

Anker is launching the Eufy MindBase, a local AI hub for smart home security that runs an on-device language model developed by Anker. The device processes camera footage locally without sending data to the cloud and functions as a Matter-compatible smart home hub. Anker is also releasing additional security products including the TrackLight Cam S1, S4 video doorbell, and a window camera.
